Job Summary:

Primary duties include creating technical solutions that fulfill the needs of our customers. The successful candidate will provide product guidance and scope for new applications. Be a problem solver who can multi-task, prioritize, and enjoys working with customers in an engineering and manufacturing environment. Providing downhole equipment technical expertise for completions, intervention, remediation, and abandonment phases.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating Statement of Requirements (SOR’s) or inquiries from the sales team.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of BiSN’s technology and suite of tools.
  • Interacting with customers to present and propose technical solutions and concepts.
  • Collaborate with other departments (sales, operations, engineering, and manufacturing) in solving problems.
  • Create detailed test plans and schedule to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Perform basic engineering and mathematical calculations.
  • Generate technical proposals and budget estimates for customer proposals.
  • Make presentations and case studies for customers and technical conferences.
  • Collaborate in writing technical papers.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to learn fast, think out of the box and come up with technical solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with downhole tools and ability to do quick feasibility tests.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be fluent in English for internal and external communication. A 2nd language would be advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics and thermodynamics preferred.
  • Willingness to travel, domestic and international, and on occasion work unsociable hours to meet customer demands (internal & external).
  • Good housekeeping and timekeeping are essential.
  • Self-motivated and willingness to learn and improve.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / petroleum engineering preferred.
  • 0 – 3 years of Oil and Gas Experience.

** This position may require time shared between our Aberdeen and Manchester offices.
