Eliminate Sand & Solids Production

Eliminate Sand & Solids ProductionEliminate Sand & Solids Production

When operators begin to see sand and other solids produced to surface it is an indication that their screens have been damaged forcing well shut-in and leading to lost production. In addition, unmitigated solids production leads to tubing erosion over time.

wel-lok™ provides a solid barrier above the damaged section of screen in either open or cased hole, preventing any solids production from entering into the completion string.

Running a tubing patch across the damaged section will reduce the ID and create an unwanted downhole choke. Pulling the completion to replace the damaged screens would be prohibitively expensive and unnecessary, making the wel-lok™ Sand Control Tool the ideal solution for eliminating unwanted solids.

wel-lok™ Sand Control Tool (SCT)

The wel-lok™ SCT (Sand Control Tool) has been specifically developed to reduce unwanted sand production from wells with sand screen and open hole gravel pack (OHGP) as well as cased hole frac pack (CHFP) completions. Unlike any other solution on the market, the wel-lok™ SCT tool seals the annulus and the wellbore in one operation without the need to perforate the sand screen or squeeze the alloy into the open hole annulus.
