Paul Deutch
President and CEO of Foro Energy

25 years' experience in the oilfield service industry. Operational and Technical roles held internationally. BA Engineering (Dartmouth College) & BA in Government (Colby College).

Beginning his career as a field engineer with Schlumberger, Paul Deutch clocked up a wide range of experience in the 13 years he spent with this world leading provider to the oil and gas industry. During this early period of his career, Paul launched the Combinable Magnetic Resonance Logging Tool, headed up Norway operations and served as the Global Program Manager of Network & Infrastructure Services.
Building on this strong foundation, Paul then held high level roles within SAIC (Science Applications International Corporation) and Flotek Industries, Logan International (an oilfield service portfolio company of Cadent Energy Partners) and Diamant Drilling Services (a global drilling services company).
Now Paul is the President & CEO of Foro Energy where he became involved initially as an advisor in 2009, joining the Foro management team in 2010.
Paul is also a board member of Motive Drilling Technologies, Hicor, and Signum Instruments.

Arindam Bhattacharya
Director, Schlumberger Corporate Ventures

25 years of global oil and gas industry experience with Schlumberger. Senior corporate leadership roles responsible for global product lines, geographic areas and strategic corporate functions. MSc in Petroleum Engineering and Project Management (Heriot Watt University, Edinbugh, UK); B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur).

Arindam started his career in Schlumberger as a Wireline Field Engineer and went on to experience a global career leading diverse teams in challenging environments. Over the past decade Arindam has been in several senior corporate leadership roles in Schlumberger including, Group Vice-President for Marketing & Technology; President of Land Drilling Rigs Product Line; President of Mexico & Central America Area; Vice-President and General Manager for Venezuela & the Caribbean market; Vice-President for Integrated Project Management in South America.
Arindam is passionate about constantly challenging the status quo in the energy industry. Specific areas of strategic impact and interest over the past years include digital transformation of the oil and gas business, and technology and business disruption in the energy transition space.
Currently Arindam is the Director of Schlumberger Corporate Ventures overseeing a portfolio of 20+ venture companies, and an investment focus on New Energy business ventures aligned to the energy transition.

John L. Hand

Chad Bown is a Senior Venture Principal on the BP Ventures team which has invested over $450m in technology companies across more than 40 entities with more than 200 co-investors.
Chad brings financial leadership and commercial management expertise alongside oil and gas operations and business development roles. He was a Captain in the United States Air Force and holds a degree in business from Texas A&M as well as an MBA from Loyola Marymount.
Chad sits on the boards of FreeWire Technologies, CarbonFree Chemicals, Zubie, Belmont, BiSN and SMG. He also holds an Observer position on the boards of Advanced BioCatalytics and Solidia.

Andrea Assarat joined GE Corporate Business Development in 2007. In this role, she pursues acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and equity investments in support of GE’s strategy. She is also a member of GE’s Corporate Diversity Council. Prior to joining Corporate BD, Andrea spent ten years at GE Equity, the equity investing arm of GE Capital, most recently as a Senior Managing Director leading the Industrial & Distressed portfolios and representing GE on the board of several portfolio companies. Prior to GE, Andrea worked at the private equity firm Investcorp and in the mergers & acquisitions group at Credit Suisse.
